Current Events active for our Parish!

The various ministries of St. John the Baptist - Holy Angels  parish provide you with a wide variety of ways of connecting with the community. Through these ministries you can learn and grow as an individual, meet others who share your values, and reach out to serve the larger parish and city. We hope there's something for everyone here. If not, join us in creating future ministries.

Youth ministry is more than programs and events!
It is “the response of the Christian community to the needs of young people, and the sharing of the unique gifts of youth with the larger community”.

St. John - Holy Angels Parish provides many opportunities for liturgical ministry involvement for parishioners of many ages.

The parish, along with the Diocese of Wilmington, provides instruction, training, and ongoing liturgical formation for all of those participating in a parish liturgical ministry. Your ministry will involve some time commitment for training and formation, some are weekly, some are once a year.  If you are interested in participating in any of the liturgical ministries described below, please contact Stephen Adams, Director of Liturgy & Music, (302) 731-2435 or sadams@holyangels.net or Amy Press, (302) 731-2219, apress@holyangels.net.

Faith formation is catechesis (teaching the faith) which aims deepen people’s contact with Jesus Christ via educational and enrichment opportunities. Designed to touch the intellect as well as the heart, these programs help people live and experience a more Christ-centered life.

The mission of St. John the Baptist - Holy Angels Formation offices, is to provide effective ways (programs) of catechesis for people of all ages and backgrounds. And in doing so we create a connection to the new evangelization envisioned by Second Vatican Council, the work of recent Popes, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which open the door to on-going conversion and a deep sense of a faith. Ultimately, faith formation is oriented toward the question: How do I practically and authentically live the Catholic faith?
